FAQ'S + POLICIES

CANCELATION POLICY

As a courtesy, we provide client appointment reminders by email and/or text. Please be respectful and let us know if you cannot attend your appointment as soon as possible. We kindly request a minimum of 24 hours’ notice so that we may offer the time to another client.

For most appointments, Bella Esthetics reserves the right to charge a cancellation/no-show fee of 25% of the total service cost, unless there are exceptional circumstances. For higher-cost services, a $100 deposit is required. This deposit is non-refundable, but with appropriate notice, it can be applied toward your rescheduled appointment.

To cancel or reschedule, you may leave a message after hours by calling or texting 403-874-6523 or emailing us at jessevolpato@gmail.com.

Please note that repeated missed appointments or disregard for our cancellation policy may result in the discontinuation of service. We truly appreciate your understanding and cooperation!

BEFORE YOUR MICROPIGMENTATION APPOINTMENT

IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING
Failure to follow these instructions may impact your healing and final results.

  • You may experience increased sensitivity during your menstrual cycle.

  • Eat a light meal before your appointment to help maintain stable blood sugar levels.

  • Avoid excessive alcohol or caffeine consumption for 24 hours prior to your procedure. Both can thin the blood, increasing sensitivity, bleeding, and bruising.

  • Avoid sun exposure and tanning for one week before your appointment.

  • Refrain from using blood-thinning medications and supplements (e.g., Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E, Advil/Ibuprofen, fish oil) for 24 hours prior. Always consult your physician if discontinuation is a concern.

For Eye Treatments:

  • Remove eyelash extensions at least 3 days before your procedure.

  • No eyelash perming or tinting for at least 3 days prior.

  • Discontinue Retin-A at least one week before your procedure.

  • No Botox around the eye area for two weeks before your procedure.

  • Discontinue use of lash or brow growth serums (e.g., Latisse) 3–6 months prior, as they increase skin sensitivity.

  • Please arrive without eye makeup.

  • If you wear contact lenses, please wear glasses instead on the day of your appointment.

WHAT IF I HAVE AN ALLERGIC REACTION TO THE LASH EXTENSIONS?

While allergies are rare, they do happen. An allergy can feel itchy, swollen, red, and possibly hot. Call or text 403-874-6523, and I will remove them, no charge, immediately. Unfortunately, we do not do refunds with reactions, as I have already done the work. However, if you tend to be sensitive to makeup products and adhesives, we can do a free patch test 2-3 days before your appointment to ensure you will not react.

🌿 Area-Specific Notes

  • If you’re considering an eyelid lift, please wait until after surgery to have your brows done.

Eyeliner:

  • Lash extensions must be removed at least one day before your appointment.

  • No lash serum use for 1 month before eyeliner or 2 weeks before a lash enhancement.

  • Contact lenses must be removed before the procedure and should not be worn for the day. Please bring glasses or arrange a ride.

  • Arrive makeup-free, especially around the eyes.
▸ Your eyes mustn’t be irritated by makeup removal—the skin here is delicate.

Lips:

  • If you are prone to cold sores, you must begin an antiviral medication 2 weeks before your appointment.
▸ For those with frequent outbreaks, PMU on the lips is not recommended, even with medication.

  • Lip fillers must be at least 4 weeks old before we can proceed.

  • Please hydrate and gently exfoliate your lips in the days leading up to your appointment.

If you’re unsure whether any of these apply to you, feel free to get in touch! I'm happy to walk you through your options or help you prepare for a safe and beautiful result.
